Did you know that Taiwan recycles approximately 120,000 metric tons of PET bottles annually, but a significant portion ends up as short-life cycle products like textiles and packaging? To address this issue, Eternal Materials and Nippon Paint have jointly developed an innovative rPET coil coating. This breakthrough technology transforms discarded PET bottles into high-quality polyester resin, which is then combined with Nippon Paint's exclusive formula to produce durable coil coatings. This not only extends the lifespan of PET but also significantly reduces reliance on fossil fuels, cutting carbon emissions by as much as 22.7%.
Broad Applications and Limitless Potential
The rPET coil coating developed by Eternal Materials and Nippon Paint has a wide range of applications, extending beyond the construction industry to automotive, home appliances, and more. This groundbreaking innovation has the potential to revolutionize various industries and promote a greener future. Considering that the global annual consumption of coil coatings is a staggering 1.3 million metric tons, switching to rPET resin could reduce carbon emissions by approximately 18,000 metric tons annually, equivalent to the carbon absorption of 1,800 hectares of forest.
