Eternal Company has been honored with the '2023 16th TCSA Taiwan Corporate Sustainability Awards' in the Sustainable Report category - Traditional Manufacturing Industry, Class 1 Copper Award.
In accordance with the Financial Supervisory Commission's released 'Corporate Governance 3.0 – Sustainable Development Blueprint' and the Taiwan Stock Exchange's 'Operation Rules for Listed Companies in the Preparation and Filing of Sustainability Reports,' five key focuses, namely 'strengthening the functions of the board of directors to enhance corporate sustainable value,' 'increasing information transparency to promote sustainable operations,' 'enhancing communication with stakeholders to create a good interactive channel,' 'aligning with international standards to guide due diligence governance,' and 'deepening the corporate sustainable governance culture,' have been established. It is anticipated that Taiwanese companies will align with international sustainable trends, providing a more precise definition of sustainability reporting. This involves a shift from traditional Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) reports to being renamed ESG (Environment, Social, Governance) reports or sustainability reports.
Eternal Company formulates and completes the declaration and disclosure of the sustainability report annually in accordance with relevant regulations. This year, the company participated for the first time in the selection organized by the Taiwan Sustainable Energy Research Foundation, namely, the '16th Taiwan Corporate Sustainability Awards (TCSA).' This participation serves as a self-examination of the company's interim achievements in its journey towards sustainable operations and the attainment of net-zero carbon goals.
In the fiercely competitive environment with 526 companies participating in the award evaluation, Eternal Company, after the joint participation evaluation by the judging committee, was awarded the Bronze Award in the Sustainability Report Category - Traditional Manufacturing Industry_Type 1. This award not only recognizes the company's continuous efforts in environmental, social, and corporate governance (ESG) issues but also serves as an encouragement and acknowledgment for the company's future sustainable development.
